Frequently Asked Question (FAQs) on HIV/AIDS

Ever since the AIDS epidemic began in the United States, the CDC has taken the lead in responding to requests from the public for information. This new section of the NPIN Web site provides responses from CDC to over 80 frequently asked questions (FAQs) about HIV and AIDS.

Online Bulletin Boards Provide Forum for Prevention Professionals

CDC recently launched free online bulletin boards on the NPIN Web site. Designed to assist sharing HIV/AIDS, STD, and tuberculosis information, the bulletin boards are a tool for healthcare providers, policy makers, grassroots community organizations, and organizations working in prevention, research, and support services. These organizations and professionals should feel free to post news and information about upcoming events or initiatives, as well as to ask questions and network with colleagues.

NPIN Develops One of the Largest Collections of Related Links in the World

NPIN has one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of links to HIV, STD, and TB Internet resources. Users are able to find a wealth of online resources organized into categories with just one "click." These links were selected for their content and overall quality. The information is made available as a public service. Neither CDC nor NPIN endorse the organizations represented: it is the responsibility of the user to evaluate the information based on individual needs and community standards prior to use.

Distance Learning Web Sites Assist Users in Finding HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB Information Over the Internet

NPIN has created distance learning pages containing links to NPIN documents and other Web sites designed to help users research HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB information over the Internet. Some sites are designed as resource guides, to assist in locating information and identifying research tools. Others are educational and provide information on topics related to HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB.
