Resource and Training Centers The NPIN Resource and Training Centers are located in Silver Spring, Maryland; on the CDC campus in Atlanta, Georgia; and at the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Center for Communication Programs in Baltimore, Maryland.
The centers offer HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB resources in a variety of formats suitable for a broad range of audiences. The collections include audiocassettes, brochures, books, directories, guides, manuals, journals, games, kits, CD-ROMs, newsletters, newspapers, posters, reports, slides, and videotapes. Also available to visitors are computers and video-viewing rooms.

![]() The NPIN Resource and Training Center in Silver Spring, Maryland provides a wealth of information and resources on HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB. The center identifies, collects, preserves, and makes available to health professionals and the public materials that support HIV/AIDS, STD, and TB prevention and education. Skilled librarians and information specialists provide personalized research support and help you locate the information you need. Individuals or small groups can schedule training sessions to learn how to access Internet resources, including the NPIN Web site and NPIN databases.
NPIN Resource and Training Center on the CDC Campus in Atlanta, Georgia The NPIN Resource and Training Center on the CDC campus in Atlanta cooperates with other CDC libraries to provide access to the more than 1,500 journals found in various CDC library collections. The center offers resources in a variety of media, including journals and newsletters; general and reference materials specific to HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB; and books, reports, and conference proceedings on topics related to HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB.
NPIN Resource and Training Center at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs Located across from the Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, the NPIN Resource and Training Center at JHU, also known as the Media/Materials Clearinghouse, offers access to a large collection of international resources and other educational materials related to HIV/AIDS, STDs, and TB. The center’s resources are culturally sensitive and available in a wide variety of languages. The center houses a collection of over 30,000 reproductive health communication materials produced worldwide. These materials cover the entire field of reproductive health, including family planning, maternal health, child health, and nutrition. The librarians specialize in international health resources and can assist you in researching any health topic on a worldwide scale. The facility also offers a large screening room and exhibit area. Staff can prepare an exhibit of materials tailored to your interests and conduct tours of the facility for groups of any size. The NPIN Resource and Training Centers would appreciate the following:
