Field Help
You can enter words into any or all of these fields to search the Resources and Services Database. NOTE: For suggestions and hints on searching this database, read the search tips.
Use this field to search for any word, phrase, numerical sequence, or abbreviation anywhere in the entire database. If you are not sure where a certain word or phrase might appear, enter it in this field.
Example:
Use this field to find organizations with a certain word or words in their names.
Example:
Use this field to find organizations in a particular state in the United States. Type in the two-letter postal code. Do not use any punctuation.
Example:
Use this field if you are searching for organizations in a country other than the United States. If you enter a country with more than one word in its name, put quotes around it.
Example:
Use this field to find organizations located in a particular city. If you enter a city with more than one word in its name, put quotes around it.
Example:
Use this field to find organizations in a particular ZIP Code. Enter the five-digit ZIP Code (no extensions). If you do not get any results, try adding a city name to your search or a ZIP Code of another area geographically near to the original ZIP Code.
Example:
Use this field to find organizations that have telephone numbers in a particular area code. You cannot search by complete phone number in this field, only area code. You can also use this field to find organizations that have toll-free (800 or 888) numbers.
Example:
Use this field if you are looking for an organization that has a staff member or members who speak a language other than or in addition to English. You may either enter the language code or spell out the language name. View a list of languages and codes.
Use this field to search for organizations that list a TTY/TDD number, or to find out if a particular organization has a TTY/TDD number.

Use this field to search for organizations that target a particular group of people with their services. Type one or more keywords that describe the target audience of the type of organization you are searching for.

Primary and Secondary Organization Type
Use these fields to search for organizations depending on their primary and secondary functions. Choose organization types from the pull-down menus. The Primary Organization Type describes the primary function of an organization, and the Secondary Organization Type describes a secondary function of an organization. You may use both fields or just one.

Use this field to search for organizations at a certain level. Choose a level from the pull-down menu.

There are two display options that control the format and the number of results displayed on your screen. These options are found at the bottom of the Resources and Services Database search page. Select Display Format
Maximum Number of Organizations to Display To change the number of organizations to display, click your mouse into the number box, delete the current number, and enter a new one.
